It has been brought to our attention that at least one school in our region has a significant level of absence possibly associated with an outbreak of the Norovirus.  If your son or daughter is absent through sickness please keep them at home for 48 hours after the sickness has passed.  We will talk with all our students, through tutors, to remind about personal hygiene (handwashing etc.).

Raising and Giving Week

During October, our Sixth Form held ‘Raising and Giving’ week, which was spent raising funds for our senior citizens’ Christmas party. As well as the non-uniform pyjama day, there were several creative fundraising ideas, including a cake competition with some delicious entries. Congratulations to Kayla in Year 8 who was the winner.

The Christmas party in December is organised and run by the Sixth Form students, and funded with the money they raise themselves. It is always a lovely, festive evening for senior citizens in our community. If you know somebody who may like to be invited to the party, please let us know in school.
