It has been brought to our attention that at least one school in our region has a significant level of absence possibly associated with an outbreak of the Norovirus.  If your son or daughter is absent through sickness please keep them at home for 48 hours after the sickness has passed.  We will talk with all our students, through tutors, to remind about personal hygiene (handwashing etc.).

Student Services

As of September 2018, Student Services will become part of the new Inclusion Unit within the Youth Centre building on the school site. This will provide a newly developed Student Services with three full time and one part time members of staff. The Inclusion Unit will be home to our Home School Support Worker, 1:1 mentors, Isolation room and a workspace for those who need a little time out or those with bespoke timetables. The Isolation room will be staffed by members of the teaching staff.

In addition, external agency support will also use the facility to meet with our students such as Prevention, the Healthy Child Team and School Nurse.

It is hoped that we can then further develop the facility over time but in the interim it will become an excellent space on which to build on our already outstanding pastoral system and support services for our students.
