FRIENDS OF THIRSK SCHOOL

Formally the PTA, this reimagined Committee is a group of committed parents who are keen to do the extra for the school community.

Fund raising

• Fund raising for key projects such as the cricket nets. These key projects require significant extra effort to raise the funds
• Fund raising – departmental “wish lists”. This generates key equipment or training that mainstream funding is not able to provide e.g. Choke rest for Health Care, signal generator for Physics, camera for Art

Support for school events

Providing logistical support of refreshments at all key events, Parents’ Evenings, Drama and Music events, Open Evenings etc.
