Applying to our sixth form
Our students select 3 or 4 A Level or Vocational Courses with an aim to completing these over 2 years. At the end of year 12 students sit formal internal exams that are used to predict final grades and students are expected to pass those in order to move into Year 13.
Level 5 is required in any level three course, with only Maths (level 7)or Further Maths (level 8) being an exception. Some courses do not require the GCSE equivalent course.
The exception to this is the Bridge course which has no entry requirements and is aimed at strengthening GCSE English and Maths together with ASDAN, BTEC Sport and Vocational Business Studies. This goes alongside significant work experience as the student builds a CV that enables them to go into work, apprenticeships or start A level courses in the following year.
