Information

The canteen is very much the hub of the school. Food is served in the canteen before school, at break time and at lunchtime. Hot and cold food is available at all times, and our healthy menu is carefully planned to meet all different dietary requirements. Our head chef, Sharon Morrison, was recognised for her extraordinary work during Covid, when she was invited to Buckingham Palace. She brings this huge sense of commitment to our school community into every aspect of her leadership of the school kitchens and canteen.

In the canteen we run a cashless catering system.  It allows us to provide a more efficient, fast and ultimately better quality of service, that incorporates the latest technology, and eliminates the need for pupils to carry cash throughout the day.  It is also biometric. This means that there is no need for pupils to carry a card, as the system will recognise the thumb of each child at the revaluation pay points and at the tills.

Parents have the ability to register any items that a child is not allowed due to dietary needs or religious beliefs, and healthy eating is encouraged. All purchases can be monitored through the reporting facility.

Any amount of money can be paid into a pupil’s meal account, via ParentPay or by cash through the revaluation machines, and any money spent on food and drink will be deducted on a daily basis.

We run an on-line payment system called ParentPay for meals, school trips and all other payments to school, which allows parents to credit their child’s account with money, using their home computer.

When a child is registered with the school, parents will be given full guidance on how to set up your account.
